Can Anyone Become a Trader?

Can you turn yourself into a real time Trader? The bottom line requirements for making a success of trading are:

  • You need to WANT to succeed as a trader.
  • Persistence and motivation to put in the work and learn the skills.
  • DISCIPLINE-DISCIPLINE-DISCIPLINE.
  • Someone to set you on the right track.
Many people will feel they have the determination to succeed at trading but have never known where to turn for the training to get them started. Few traders are interested in training up other people. They are too busy trading. By a number of co-incidences I have come to the attention of journalists who saw merit in writing about what I do. I suspect that they were aware consciously or subconsciously that there are people out there who want to learn the art of reading charts but did not know where to find someone to teach them. Traders are thin on the ground.

As a result of the publicity I have received I intend to run a few seminars over the coming months to satisfy the demand from people I deem to be appropriate to receive training. I can provide you with the missing bit, and give you the benefit of my own knowledge and experience to trade anywhere. At age 44, I now live on the Isle of Skye in Scotland, where I enjoy a very comfortable living in my chosen surroundings.

One of the real advantages of trading as an occupation (apart from the awesome rewards for getting it right), is the very portable nature of the work. Since market data can be delivered easily via satellite technology, you are free from any geographic restrictions, and can set up to trade in almost any location in the world that you wish.

 
Getting Started

In order to get started, it is recommended that you equip yourself with a good understanding of the trading environment, your target markets, and not least, understanding yourself and your responses to what you see on the charts. You need a balanced and level headed approach, backed up by the confidence that you can do it. This confidence comes from proving to yourself that you can win more often than you lose, before starting your trading career and risking real cash.
